ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand in 2022

The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup is coming to New Zealand in 2022! This will be the first time that the event has been hosted in the Southern Hemisphere and it’s sure to be a spectacle. The tournament will be held over six weeks, with each country playing five matches. The top four teams at the end of the tournament will progress to the semi-finals and then the final. Who knows – with some good performances by the New Zealand team, maybe they can bring home their first ever ICC Women’s ODI World Cup title!

Dates of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand in 2022

The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand is set to take place from 7-17 February 2022. This will be the 10th edition of the tournament and it will be played in six cities across New Zealand.

The participating teams for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand are Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka. The final will be played at Eden Park in Auckland.

Tickets for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand will go on sale from 1 November 2020.

Venue and Stadiums

The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup will be held in New Zealand from March 18-29. The venues for the event have been announced, and they include three stadiums – Eden Park ( Auckland ), McLean Park ( Napier ) and Seddon Park ( Hamilton ).

Eden Park is the largest of the three stadiums, with a capacity of 34,500. McLean Park is smaller, with a capacity of 12,000, while Seddon Park has the smallest capacity at 3,000.

All three stadiums will be used for the tournament. Eden Park will host the opening match and the final match, while McLean Park will play host to both semi-finals and the third place match. Seddon Park will play host to both quarter-finals and the second place match.

How to attend the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand in 2022

If you want to attend the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand in 2022, here are some tips and advice:

1. First of all, make sure that you are eligible to attend. The tournament is open only to women who are registered with a national cricketing body that is a full member of the ICC. If you are not registered with a national cricketing body, then you will not be able to attend the tournament.

2. You will need to purchase tickets. Tickets will go on sale in late 2020, and they will cost between $50 and $130 per ticket.

3. You will need to arrive in New Zealand at least three days before the start of the tournament. You will not be allowed to enter the country or leave the country until after the tournament has ended.

4. Make sure that you are aware of all the rules and regulations pertaining to the event. For example, you must wear appropriate clothing and shoes when attending the event, and you must follow all stadium instructions.

5. Make sure that you have enough food and water during the tournament. There are limited food options available at the stadiums, and dehydration can lead to serious health complications.

1. Ticketing Details

There will be three ticketing options available for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand. These are as follows:

a. General Admission – This option is available to all spectators, and it costs NZ$30 per person. This option includes access to all areas of the stadium, including the viewing area for the live match broadcast.

b. Member Area – This option is available only to current ICC members who have paid their annual subscription fee by 31 October 2017. It costs NZ$50 per person, and it includes access to the Member Area only, which is located at the back of the ground near the team changing rooms. This area offers a more relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating and a full bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

c. Executive Area – This option is available only to event promoters and corporate partners who have been approved by ICC Management. It costs NZ$100 per person, and it includes access to the Executive Area, which is located on level 2 of Westpac Stadium. The Executive Area offers premium seating with views of both the live match broadcast and the player changing rooms. It also has its own bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

2. Ticketing Process

To purchase tickets, please visit the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup website and click on the ‘Tickets’ link. You will then be able to select the type of ticket you would like to purchase. Please note that all tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

3. Ticket Delivery

On-field concessions will include pizza, chips, ice cream and desserts. There are also a range of snack foods such as popcorn, chocolates and crisps.

The New Zealand Cricket Team has put together a special menu to celebrate the tournament, which can be found at select bars around the country.

Transport options

There are a few options for getting to the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand. The most common option is to fly into Auckland, which is about an hour away from Christchurch. There are also several short flights that can be taken from other major cities in New Zealand.

Another option is to take the ferry from Picton, which is about an hour and a half away from Christchurch. The ferry leaves every morning and returns every night, so it’s a convenient way to get to the tournament.
